I provide support for several translation agencies. So as a support person I would need an option to define a group of projects for S/R so that I don't have to pick the projects individually every time. Is there a way to achieve this in Paratext?

If you hold CTRL while clicking on Send/Receive Projects it will open the window to allow you to select projects. You can save groups in the upper left.

How long has this feature been there? (I asked this question 1-2 years ago…)

I didn’t know that was there either, @listentwice.

I notice that the group names I had saved in the open dialog are also accessible here. Although If I specified resources in a list in the open dialog, choosing that list does not attempt to send/receive the resource, which is not possible. Opening a group you’d saved in Open (or in “Modify text collection”) in the send/receive “select text” ignores any resources that were in the saved group.

This has been a feature since at least Paratext 7.5. This is a dialog that Paratext uses in a number of situations where a user might want to select a group of projects. Since most users only have a few projects this is generally not an issue. For those who are working with lots of projects this can be helpful. I’d suggest maybe adding something like S_R_ before the saved names or AA so that they show up at the beginning of your list.

I am trying to use a naming convention that separates SR groups from Combination groups.

It would be helpful if the GUI automatically separated them somehow.

It would also be helpful to be able to bring up this interface from the normal S/R window without the using the “secret” key.

Thanks!
