I was trying to install Paratext on a user’s newly bought Surface Go. However Paratext installation was kept failing with the following error (I tried installing 9.1 and 9.2-beta with offline versions)

Since the error is occurring when installing Microsoft .Net 4.8, my guess is that the machine has an early version of Windows 10 that doesn’t support .Net 4.8 - Windows 10 1607 or later is required.

Look at the “Windows specifications” section just below the “Device specifications” to see the version of Windows 10 that is installed.

If you see a version of 1607 or higher, there must be some other problem that is causing the install to fail and I’d need the .Net 4.8 install log that should be in the C:\Users{userName}\AppData\Local\Temp folder. You can send this log directly to me at [Email Removed]

my user has is using the v1803. So it has to do with something else. I’ll send you the installation log offline.
