I have a beginners Paratext workshop next week. There are a few participants who don’t have an organization yet, but hope to in the future, and we would like to train them while we have the opportunity. I don’t want them to register without an organization, because I want them to have access to French translations for our exercises. So I have a few training licenses that we created a while back (under SIL), and I plan to set each one up with one of those training licenses. At the end of the workshop, however, I don’t want them to have access to that SIL license (and the corresponding resources) anymore.

So is there a way in Paratext to “remove” the license? I know I can replace a license, but I don’t have another license to give them, to replace the one that is there (and don’t really want to take the time to create all of them…). But is there a way to just remove the license in Paratext? I could just uninstall Paratext, but I wonder if the license isn’t stored in the registry, and if Paratext was reinstalled, would that license “come back”?

jeffh,
If you go to the registry and regenerate the registration code then the license on their machine will become invalid. They would need to fill in their own registration information in order to use Paratext again.

This seems like a good way to handle “training” licenses. Use the registration during the workshop and then regenerate the registration code so that you can use it again in another training.

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the advice.
