I’m trying to help a project where they are adding the deuterocanonical books to an existing protestant canon.
They are following the NRSV as their basis. It runs in parallel with the Greek text, but they cannot edit their Biblical Terms, because it shows the wrong words for the verses in parts of the deuterocanon, especially in the additions to books like Esther (ESG).

I thought that it maybe a versification problem. But of course there is no way of getting at the custom.vrs of their source text – they are using the NRSV for that, a locked resource. As an ignorant protestant, I anon421222’t even know how these additions work in the deuterocanonical books, let alone where to look for how the passages are matched up. All I can see is that in certain situations, the NRSV does line up with the Greek text and I can make their text do the same. But the Biblical Terms are still all the wrong ones… it’s easy to spot, when there are names in the Biblical Terms list, which anon421222’t occur anywhere in the text…

Any ideas?
Thanks.

I downloaded the NRSV and checked to see that it has “Engllish” versification - apparently with no customizations.
