I have a test project that has multiple people with write permission (a bit of a free-for-all), and after two people created some new new books in parallel I have thousands of conflicts. Is there any way to resolve them all in bulk?

The available option is to “Delete all conflict notes”. You get to this in PT9 by holding Shift while clicking on the main menu. Then go to “Support and Development > Delete all conflict notes”

That did the trick. Thanks, anon848905.

Note that you have to have the correct project selected first, before going to the main menu. I thought we didn’t have to do that anymore! Maybe it should be moved to the Advanced sub-menu in the Project menu. It looks like there are some additional options in that menu if you hold down Shift, so maybe it could be added there.

Thanks @anon848905 for posting this. I knew there was a way to do it, but for the life of me, I couldn’t find it anywhere in PT9. I even searched the technical help, but couldn’t get anywhere with that. Surely we should include this in that (offline) help as well.

Just as a reminder - if you can’t find something in Paratext 9 you can use the search box at the top. Notice here that I just typed “conflic” and the window displays several commands including the “Delete all Conflict notes”. Now I may not know that to get to the Support and Development menu I have to hold Shift while clicking the main menu, but I don’t need that since I can just click the link to go to the command.

As for getting this into the help files - I believe you are correct that it should be there. I’ll make the request.

Yes, that’s where I was looking, but in vain. I can now see that because I typed too much (i.e. the plural form = ‘conflicts’) it didn’t find what I was looking for:

I’m wondering whether we should intentionally add key words (sg., pl. forms and synonyms) to help articles in order to make these kinds of “no match searches” less likely.
