It seems that “Advanced>Insert cross-references” is not working. Extracting cross-references works as expected, and both features work in PT8. But in PT9, the insert feature dialogue box acts normally but does not perform the operation.

I believe this is a key functionality feature and would greatly appreciate help to get this restored.

I’d appreciate some help if someone is familiar with the old “Insert Cross References or Notes” check. I have massaged the xml USB xrefs file to fit the format required by the script (I think!). I have a BookNames.txt file, albeit the file changes a book name to the same book name - that was just in case the file is needed since without it I get an error.

So the script runs - but I get a list of references which the script says it could not place. Since it placed no references, I assume that this is a full list of reference I have for the particular book I am trying to place in. The references that it lists don’t seem to be in any order that conforms to the original xrefs file!

I am mystified. I did use this script the other day to place a who NT worth of picture codes, so I know the script works - and since it is the same Scripture I’m working on, I assume that the script is not choking on the reference to place at (though it did have problems when the ref was in the Gen.1:1 format. It would randomly choke on the period so I removed all periods which got the script .

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

I am having the same trouble. Nothing happens. Not even a history point is made.
Does anyone know wether there is a cross refs file in the old format (OT+NT) I could use with the old Insert Cross References or Notess check?

A fix for inserting cross references not working will done for 9.0 soon. However, it should already work in 9.1 if you are able to update.

Mmm, my version is still 9.0 and it says that it is up to date. Is there a way to force an update to 9.1?

You can download 9.1 from here

Thanks for that Alan. And the Insert cross-references function is working - wonderful!
