For some time, Paratext used to have a checking item called ‘Insert Cross References or Notes’.
Files for this check seem to be included in a Paratext 8 ‘cms’ folder.
But the check does not show up in Checking > Advanced > Unsupported.
This is probably caused by a line ‘\check DELETED’ that is at the beginning of the .cms file.

Would there be anything against removing that line, and using the check involved?

(I am aware that nowadays there is a newer feature for inserting cross references.
But I am specifically interested in the old check mentioned above.)

You can remove the “\check DELETED” line from a check and use at your own risk. Checks like this have been hidden, but still can be very valuable.
