Another antivirus suspicious of Paratext

We’ve recently seen reports that BitDefender AntiVirus Plus has flagged Paratext for suspected ransomware activity. It seems what draws its attention is when Paratext is updating notes files during the send/receive.

The report includes a button to “Except application” which I assume means “create an exception for this application”, which should permit Paratext to keep working.

It came to our notice that users with K7 Antivirus installed are having issues with Paratext 8. The Antivirus deletes . ... support team can suggest, that will sort out this issue.

Installation issue: Paratext.exe (or another file) is missing after installation or update
After installing Paratext or updating to a newer version of Paratext, sometimes the Paratext.exe file or other files ... update. Afterward turn the anti-virus program back on.

Recovering from a very bad antivirus
Someone tried a new antivirus program which proceeded to block Paratext. He had uninstalled this antivirus but still ... other reports online) it is definitely to be avoided.

Paratext detected as malware by anti-virus programs
Just recently Kaspersky Internet Security detected my Paratext 8 program as malware and deleted everything. Previously, some ... this problem? Would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Another spurious antivirus alert?
