EEB Project Biblical Terms list could not be loaded

Hi,

Since I installed Paratext 9, every time I open it I get an error message:
The following Biblical Terms list could not be loaded: EEB Project Biblical Terms
Major Biblical Terms will be loaded instead.

When a colleague tried to open the Easy English Bible, they got the same error, so I’m guessing it’s the Easy English Bible Project Biblical Terms. I actually just want the Easy English Bible text, not a Biblical terms list for it, anyway. Do you know if there is a way to stop the Biblical terms list from trying to load so I don’t get the error every time I open PT?

Currently, if a resource is using a Biblical Terms list that is not included with the resource an error is reported. Version 9.0.100.50 or greater should have a fix that will hide the reported error with resources not having the correct list of Biblical Terms.

Sorry but there is no “easy” way to stop the message. The problem is that the association was made in the project settings and then apparently the short name of the resource was changed from EEB to EASY (or else the association was made on a computer that had both projects. This will need to be fixed by the resource owner. I will submit a bug report for this issue.

Just FYI, I’m getting the same error with the FC97 (Français Courant) resource.

I don’t see FC97 in the downloads, but I do see FRC97. When I open the BT tool I get a list of terms. You might try updating the file.

PS Might have been better to delete the resource first and reinstall it. Having two names seemed to confuse it at first. But all is well now, it figured it out on its own.

The other answer here is “don’t use the Easy English Bible”. If it doesn’t try to open then you won’t get the error. However, if you want to use this resource then you will have to deal with the error for the time being.
