Manual download of the latest Paratext 9 patch

Question

The latest PT9 patch on the website is 100.3 , but, for me, Check for Updates offers 100.6 . Is that because .6 is a beta patch? I think the latest release patch is a later one than .3 , so should the website be updated?

The version that you download automatically depends on the release version that you have selected. Most users will have the “normal” release version. The “pre-release” version is for those who are providing support or testing.

In PT9 the current “normal” version as of today 2020/1/3 should be 9.0.100.5 and this should be available on the server (with the holidays it has probably been slow going up). The “pre-release” version is 9.0.100.6 and is not available on the server.

You can change the version that you receive in PT9 by holding Shift while clicking on the main menu. Then go to Support and Development > Release Stage

I started with the beta version, but I cannot update to the latest patch; I still have 9.0.54.1, but update tells me Paratext is up-to-date. My settings are automatically update Paratext. Do I have to download the regular PT9?

Beta releases before 9.0.62.1 need to be updated manually by downloading the 9.0.100.1 installer from here:
https://paratext.org/download/currentversion/

We couldn’t make the upgrade from earlier beta versions automatic because of changes to the installer.

I installed successfully, and have no issues. The menu is slightly different from Beta version, but I have no problems with finding things on it.
