We’ve installed Paratext 8 and the program seemed to try to install the patch twice but there was no progress bar showing. Then we downloaded and installed the patch again and restarted the laptop.
However the version number of PT8 remains at 8.0.100.1

It looks as though the patched version should have version 8.0.100.6

Any suggestions for applying the patch?

Update:

Seems like I was confused by the version number. On another machine the updates were slower and therefore it was clearer that they had worked. I saw the version numbers increase;
from 8.0.100.1 to 8.0.100.4 to 8.0.100.10

So 8.0.100.10 is later than 8.0.100.6 which is why it looked to me as though the patch hadn’t worked.

The latest PT9 patch on the website is 100.3 , but, for me, Check for Updates offers 100.6 . Is that because .6 is a ... is a later one than .3 , so should the website be updated?
