I would love to be able to customize/modify/create my own references in the parallel passages tool. Is this possible?

Unfortunately no. The Parallel Passages data is closely coupled to the words in the HEB/GRK text inside Paratext, so adding new references would not be straight-forward.

EDIT: If you think we have missed an important parallel, please send feedback via:

  • In Paratext 9.0, via Help > Give feedback and change the Type of feedback to Make a suggestion about resource content. (preferred)
  • Send an email to [Email Removed].

It is actually possible to add a parallel to Paratext, but it must be done very carefully and requires administrative permission to change a file in the C:\Program Files\Paratext 9\ParallelPassages folder. Here is a quick video showing how this can be done.
