Dear anon496831,
I believe that you are saying that Paratext 8 closes whenever you try to use Google Input Tools to type your language.
I do not believe that Paratext 8 currently works with Google Input Tools. It does, however, work very well with Keyman (https://keyman.com/) and Inkey and the Microsoft Keyboards (MSKLC). As well, if you only have a very few special characters, you can set up an autocorrect feature.
Once you have a keyboard installed on your system, you can have it apply automatically to your text in Project/Keyboard.
I recommend going to Paratext/Help and searching on “keyboard” and “autocorrect”
I do understand that once you are happy using a particular system for your language, it is difficult to switch. Keyman has many keyboards already created for many, many languages which you can find in the link above, pehaps one of them may meet your needs.
If you really need to use the Google Input Tools, I suggest you make a feature request for its accommodation in Paratext. How to do this is found in Help/Make a suggestion.
Blessings,
Shegnada James
