The project we are working on is failing the Quotation rule basic check because, it would seem, of where the period is placed. In the National orthography when ending a quoted sentence, the period goes before the quote but when only a word or phrase is quoted, the quote comes before the period.

Paratext seems to always be expecting the quotation mark after the period. How do we configure Paratext to allow “quoted words”.

MSEAIT/LT,

As far as I know, the quotation rules do not care about the surrounding punctuation. The errors on punctuation are determined by the punctuation inventory where you can select “Sequences” and identify both sequences as valid.
