I am a registered user of ParaText 8.

I attempted to register a PT7 project today but get the following message:

“You must have a translation, translation support or publication role in an organization that is authorized for Paratext in order to proceed.”

I am an SIL typesetter for SIL Asia Area and a DBL curator for WBT Western Zone.

I am registered as a member of three organizations (SIL International, Wycliffe Global Alliance, and WBT Western Zone).

I am wondering if the problem may be that the WBT one is my ‘primary organization’ and this organization cannot register projects.

We got your problem report from Paratext. It appears that the WBT Western Zone organization does not have authorization to use Paratext for some reason. We’re looking into it, but a lot of the people who might be able to track it down are in meetings this week (back next week).

My ‘primary organization’ does not have registration privileges (WBT Western Zone). That organization is only for my role as a DBL curator for the Western Zone of Wycliffe texts. I believe we just need to change the primary organization to WBT or SIL Asia.

You’ve been moved. You’ll need to put your new license code into Paratext and should be able to do what is needed now.
