Last year I did extensive work on the Indonesian localization file, but never submitted it to the Paratext developers because I was waiting on input from others (which never came). I did however share the localization file with a few colleagues, and they were able to use it by copying it to
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Paratext80\LocData
And I was also able to put this file on the laptops of the translation team that I oversee.
However, sometime during the last several months, something changed in the way Paratext loads the localization files. The computers which had been given my revised localization file have now reverted to the old file which was included in the Paratext release. And more significantly, I am unable to load my revised localization file into Paratext by copying it into the above-named folder. Instead, as soon as Paratext starts, it replaces that file with the file that is stored in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Paratext 8\LocData
So, in order to finish my work on the Indonesian localization so that I can submit it to the Paratext developers to be included in the release, should I copy my file to the latter location? Or will that break something?
