I have a user who would like to make a concordance, and Concordance Builder came to mind. They have already migrated to Paratext 8? Does it work in Paratext 8?

Thanks,

SIL+LSS+PNG,

If you go to this page and click on the “project registration” pulldown you will see features based on Paratext Tier. Bottom line is that if you are approved for the Publishing tier then you get the Concordance Builder (and Publishing assistant, etc.) This is viewed as a “publishing capability”.

If you have Paratext 8.0.100.33 or later the software for concordance (and names index) building is installed. You must at least have that version and you need to find the executable files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Paratext 8.

The ConcordanceTool.exe installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Paratext 8 only sees PT8 projects. If you still need to use it on PT7 projects you need to run the tool installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Paratext 7\Concordance Builder .

Is there any updated documentation? The documentation installed appears to be from an early version of Paratext 7.

I don’t think there is anyone maintaining the Concordance Builder or Names Index Builder documentation.
