How do I change the title metadata of a PDF produced by PTXprint?

I've produced a PDF file with PTXprint. When I open it with Firefox on my desktop, Firefox displays the title of the PDF file in the browser's UI, where the tab title is. In my case, it is displaying the tab title "[Unknown] - ABC_Default_MAT_ptxp.pdf". Chrome has similar behaviour. It displays the title "[Unknown]" in the tab title. It also displays "[Unknown]" in the upper toolbar of the built-in PDF viewer.

I confirmed that this is the title of the PDF file by running this command:

$ exiftool public/pdf/AEB2_website_1CO_ptxp.pdf | grep Title
Title                           : [Unknown]

How do I change this title? I don't want the title to be "[Unknown]", I would like it to be something more user-friendly, so that people who open the PDF file in their browser or in their PDF reader won't see this confusing title in the wrong language.

In PTXprint, I've found the setting under "Peripherals", "Variables and Values", "maintitle", as well as "subtitle" and "languagename". However, settings these variables seems to have no effect.

Just a brief note to let you know that we'll look into this to see if there's a better way to handle it in future. [I have a faint recollection that we made a change back in Nov, but can't see any evidence yet; so need to take another look.]

Yes, back in 3.0.4 we made a slight change so that if the variable 'maintitle' exists, it will use that for the PDF title (instead of Project Fullname or worse still, [Unknown]).
Please let us know if that is acceptable behavior.

That would be great, if PTXprint actually did that. Instead, PTXprint ignores the maintitle variable, in my experience, and just uses "[Unknown]". I'm using PTXprint 3.0.7 on Ubuntu. How can I report this bug?
