We'd like to use short name of books in text x-ref but abbrev in glossary x-ref, is there a diff USFM code we can use?

We're using /xt in footnote cross-references, set to use 'short name' of book. But in the glossary I’d like to use abbreviations of book name, is there a different USFM code I could use for that?.

I haven't tried it, but would using a string like \xt (abbreviation style reference)|(standard reference)\xt* work?

It's just a drop-down box, so I don't think so. Unless I'm misunderstanding where you're saying this could be done. I'm in the Scripture Ref settings.

I didn't mean in the Scripture Reference settings, but when you enter a cross-reference in the text of the glossary entry. So instead of say \xt Mat 5:12\xt*, which might expand to Matthew 5:12 if the short name is Matthew, you would have \xt Mat 5:12|Mat 5:12\xt*. The idea is that what is to the right of the vertical bar is what appears in the formatted version.
