I would like to copy one or a few biblical terms from one list (e.g. All Biblical Terms) to my project Biblical Terms. It seems to me this should be a simple thing to do, but I just can't figure out how to accomplish this.

I tried to export such a term, which then created an abc.xml file, and then import it into my project project Biblical Terms, but this just creates an additional list called ‘abc.xml (imported)’ and is not added to my project Biblical Terms.

How can I do that?

To copy a term from one list to the Project Biblical terms list - click on the star. Terms with gold stars will appear in the Project Biblical terms list.
