During community testing we are finding it convenient to cast from an Android device to a TV monitor. Since Thursday this week I have noticed that recent changes are not being transferred to these devices. After Send/Receive the S/R message window says, "no new changes were sent or received". To be clear, Send/Receive continues to work for us with desktop versions of Paratext.

Here are the Paratext Lite versions on the devices we are using:

  • v9.5.16.36 (Pixel phone)
  • v9.5.17.44 (Samsung tablet)

Is anyone else having this experience? What might be causing us this issue?

The original answer suggested deleting cellular data. This is NOT the appropriate option. Moderator indicates below how to fix it with "Reset Settings".

Gracias Pepe! That did work for my phone. I haven't carried this out on the tablet yet, but it should work. Thanks again!
Did "delete storage data" remove the Paratext projects?  If it doesn't great! If it does then I'd recommend using Paratext Lite built in Debug -> "Reset Settings" instead, for fixing things like this.
I completely removed the projects and it took awhile to download them again.
Resetting Paratext would be quicker. How do I do that? I don't see 'Debug' or 'Reset Settings'.
To enable the "Debug" menu one has to open the "About" box and click it 7 times. It will then disappear and display a "Debug" menu will be added to the main menu.
Got it. Thanks!
Ok, wow. First thanks for this tip. It solved our Send/Receive problem. But wow, that is a very weird way to access something vitally important which a person in some remote area will need to do but won't ever be able to figure it out. Does this reset feature need to be so incredibly difficult to find?
We hope that "Reset" isn't a common thing that is needed. I has been needed recently for a few devices. However all these devices were running the beta version. An update has been added to beta version (although not yet released) that hopefully prevents the need for using "Reset", to fix this issue.

If would be great if this could be reported via Main Menu -> (expand) -> Submit feedback.

That way we get the log file and can see the underlying cause.
