In Paratext 7.6 (and later), the “Other Characters” tab of the “Language Settings” dialog no longer has an option to specify whether diacritics should occur before base characters or follow base characters. The default is that diacritics follow base characters.

If the option to have diacritics follow base characters got unticked in Paratext 7.5 (or earlier), you can fix this by going to the .lds file for the language and changing the diacriticsfollow line to look like the following:

diacriticsfollow=Yes

If a language requires diacritics to occur before the base character, you can fix this by going to the .lds file for the language and either changing the diacriticsfollow line or adding a diacriticsfollow line to look like the following:

diacriticsfollow=No
