Hi all. I’m using Windows 11 with the Android subsystem, which runs apps from the Amazon App Store.
I looked for the PTLite app to install it and test in on my system, but it isn’t there (yet).

Any plans to upload the PTLite app to the Amazon store?

Also, Amazon sells good tablets at a cheap price. Might this be a solution for getting PTLite out there on less expensive tablets? (Albeit with an Amazon account.)

(I have no idea the implications of working with Amazon App Store. Just wondering out loud though.)

Hmmm, well, something is odd then. Here is the invoice:

But in the Amazon Appstore on Windows 11 (using the same user account), all I see is the Kindle App that I downloaded to test. The PTLite app doesn’t show. Nor does the many apps I have accumulated over the years through the Amazon Appstore.

Note, if I search for Paratext Lite via the Amazon Appstore app in Windows 11, it doesn’t find it. It says no such app was found. So I suspect this version of the Amazon Appstore in Windows 11 only displays a filtered list of “workable apps” or some such, but that is just a guess. Has anybody read anything that discusses this kind of limitation?

“We have partnered with Amazon and popular app developers to curate 50 apps for Windows Insiders to test and validate across a broad set of hardware. We will release new apps through Windows Insider Program updates in the coming months.”

Thank you! That explains the lack of apps right now. Appreciate the tip.

Paratext Lite is in the Amazon store, and has been for a while now.

As far as I’m aware, the Amazon store beta on windows 11 only shows 50 hand picked apps for now. Also only for US accounts. (Both windows 11 and Amazon account)
