We have been listening to your ideas for improvements to make Paratext Lite more usable and useful for your work in Bible translation. Thank you for your suggestions which are now part of this release.

What is new in Paratext Lite 9.0.5

Major new features

• Text Collections - Now you can open up multiple projects as text collections.
• Layouts - Paratext Lite allows the saving and restoring of layouts. Now, when you arrange panes on the screen with various text combinations you can save these and load these for all of the Bible translation projects that you are working on.

Other new features

• Allow filtering by tag in the notes list.
• Allow restricting searches to a selection of books.
• Allow temporarily hiding footnote callers + Project notes.
• Allow bulk removal of projects.
• Allow changing to alternative options in conflict notes.
• Experimental support for usfm marker editing.

Other improvements

• Improvements for devices with smaller screens. While the development team is not targeting, nor recommending Paratext Lite for use on cell phones, the reality is that people are finding the software useful on smaller devices. We are paying attention to how it displays on screens with smaller real-estate. That should also improve your experience if you happen to use this software on a phone.
• Improved Find functionality
• Improved speed of the Book/Chapter picker dialog
• Faster Book/Chapter navigation dialog.
• Next/Prev verse keyboard shortcuts now match Paratext (Ctrl + DOWN|UP). For more shortcut details see Paratext Lite Help screen.
• Numerous bug fixes
