Paratext Lite 9.0.6 Release Notes

We, the development team thank you so much for your comments and suggestions about how to improve this software. You have helped us make Paratext Lite more usable and useful for your work in Bible translation. For those of you who have not updated your software in a while, or if you are just curious, we think you will find plenty of good reasons to try out this new release. We pray that this tool will be useful to you in your translation work, so that all may know of the Great God that we serve!

What is new in Paratext Lite 9.0.6

Major new features

  • Wordlist feature was added - with a reduced feature set from Paratext.
  • Paratext Lite now runs on Chromebooks (added x86 support).
  • Now you can import default resources (.p8z files), such as LXX, HEB, BYZ, etc. from a USB stick (Local).
  • Now Paratext Lite allows for multiple projects in the projects notes list.

New localisations

  • Farsi (translation completed, but the UI does not yet reflect a right to left language)

Other improvements

  • Clicking find results now selects word in verse.
  • The move pane feature now allows moving between workspaces.
  • Toolbar now defaults to displaying vertically when the device is in landscape mode.
  • Small screen devices are limited to single column layout for better use of small screen real estate.
  • Improvements to USB Send / Receive of projects.
  • Support older webview system components.

  • Chinese, Traditional (99%)
  • English, USA (default en-US)
  • French (99%)
  • Indonesian (100%)
  • Persian (100%)
  • Portuguese (87%)

  • Spanish (100%)
