John Nystrom recently led an Advanced Paratext Workshop based on his “Effective Consulting
using Paratext 8 Tools” paper. We recorded the sessions in segments, and I would like to make the segments available in an organized fashion.

I’m asking for the best way to publish these training videos. I would like these features (if possible):

  • The ability to upload all of the videos and display them in the order that they were taught.
  • The ability to create “playlists” so we can have a group of videos based on a particular topic (e.g., Biblical Terms).
  • The ability to link to individual videos and playlists from an external site.
  • The ability to add descriptions and possibly have those descriptions displayed on an external site (I’d prefer to not have to duplicate descriptions, etc if it’s avoidable).
I know that Vimeo and YouTube are options. To me, it feels like Vimeo is more “professional” (i.e., less random junk), but that’s just an impression.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

Thank you,

You are indeed describing Vimeo and YouTube. For the last point, you would embed the video onto the other site like we do at the bottom of this page here:
