I’m just registering for PT8. I selected a Primary Organisation, but when I moved to the next step it changed. I tried to edit it on the Paratext Registry, but I’m not able to. There’s no “Contact” information that I can find at the Paratext Registry. How do I change my Primary Organisation? Thanks.

It looks like it was set correctly from your information from PT7 when you entered in your PT7 code. (Unless you are talking about an account other than the one associated with your e-mail address used on this site.)

The easiest way would be to delete your own registration and try again.

That might be easy, if I could figure out how to do it… Do you have any tips?

How did the PT7 information get set wrong? I don’t think I’ve ever set a region in PT7… The only thing I can think of would be the support person I was supposed to choose (for which I selected SIL Pacific).

On my PT8 registry page it has Country: Solomon Islands | Field Unit / Entity: SITAG. Both of these are correct, but they do not come under SIL (in Asia).

If you could make the change for me that would be most helpful. I leave to go there tomorrow, and internet there is notoriously difficult…

Thanks,

Paul

Login to https://registry.paratext.org using the login name that you registered with. Then select your profile (click on name on right hand side of page to get dropdown). On the profile page, you will see the option to request membership in an organization.

The easiest way to fix this is to go to the “Organisations” tab at the top, find the organisation you do belong to, click the arrow next to the blue View button, and click “Request membership”.

It may take some time for your request to be processed; when it is done, you will receive an e-mail with a new registration code.

If you are struggling with this, send me a private message with the desired organisation and I can do it on your behalf.
