As an undocumented (or maybe just unfinished) feature, you can create a shortcut or .BAT file that calls
Paratext.exe -regexpal. That will start Regex Pal as a stand-alone application.

The reason that it is now normally part of Paratext, is that allows both to be open and for them to respond to each other (e.g. doing a find/replace in Regex Pal will now update Paratext with the changes without having to restart).

You can call it from inside of Paratext via the menu Tools > Advanced > RegEx Pal...

Thank you.

So, is RegEx Pal no longer a separate .EXE file? I used to like the fact that I could run it separately. (e.g. right now I’m PT8 RegEx Pal, and it keeps showing as “Not responding” … and mostly when it’s doing that, PT8 also says it’s not responding. Ugh!
