Paratext Registry (& S/R) is Down in South Asia

Hmm, our automated systems didn’t give out a downtime alert. Charts show that the Registry was functioning normally at the time you made this post, with about 20 simultaneous users browsing the Registry, a typical number for that time. Could it have been an issue on your end?

To be sure, though, please send me an e-mail when this happens. I don’t get alerts for posts made to the support site.

It was down for multiple computers at the partner office just before I posted, and many other internet sites were working fine for us. It could be an ISP issue, but odd that it would be selective.

Can the Registry server be accessed via other means from these computers?
eg. via a “ping registry.paratext.org” from the command line, and via a web browser.

Can you access this URL? https://archives.paratext.org/send_receive_server

If so, also try https://archives.paratext.org/send_receive_server/api80/listrepos
then type in your user name and PT8 registration code, and see if you get a list of projects.

It seems to be working for me in the southern part of South Asia! Was it just temporary a country/ISP-specific issue? Is it working again now?
