Last day of a PT8 Migration workshop.

We needed to delete the User1 PT8 account. After we made User 2 admin on the project and removed User1 from all projects, then the PT8 registry allowed us to delete the User1 account.

Now the PT8 registry shows User2 as admin, and does not list User1 on the project. Success we thought. However, on User2 computer it shows User2 as observer, and still lists User1 as the only admin.

I think the internet was flaky when then were making user access changes on User1’s computer. The registry history shows they changed User2 to Observer and then to Admin.

Rebooting User 2’s Computer did not help. Deleting the project from User2’s system, and doing a S/R did not help.

User2 is the only Admin. There is one translator but they are not local and have not setup a PT8 account yet.

Need some help!

My last resort would be to ask UBS to delete everything on PT8 servers and we could redo the migration, but I would rather not.

Thanks, listentwice

If you send me specific project and user information, I may be able to help. Make sure that user account has the current Paratext code. When changing names and deleting accounts, you need to be sure that the computer has the correct name and registration code, and not the old one that was in there before.
