While I understand that PTXprint has been designed to work offline, printing an entire bible in PTXprint can take quite some processing time.

Has anyone experience with using the relevant .tex files and compile them in a LaTeX online compiler like Overleaf?

Paying them $20 for a month gives access to fast compile servers, which is much cheaper than getting new hardware to improve compile times on my local machine. In principle it should be easy, I assume I will get all relevant files by creating an archive in PTXprint, but I am not sure which files I would not to upload to Overleaf. If anyone has tried it, please let me know.

PTXprint doesn't use LaTeX. It is based on plainTeX. So my suspicion is that Overleaf would cause more pain than relief. If you have access to a more powerful computer you want to print on, then you can run ptxprint headless. That is you can set up a server that has access to your files and then have it run the print process for you. Just a small matter of setting it all up and linking it. You could even set up a server that does send and receive from the command line using ParatextLite and then use ptxprint headless to build the project.
