Have you tried using [pri] / [sec] buttons to select which version of the references are used?
If so, what happens when you regenerate the .tex file - there should be lines like:
\def\RHoddleft{\rangerefL}
\def\RHoddright{\rangerefR}
(and RHeven similar. L and R might be the other way round, depending which translation is primary (L) and secondary (R))
