I'm very enthusiastic about the developer's release of PT 10 Studio, and about the potential for better long-term, cross-platform support.

I'm testing out the Linux snap package now, and I'd like to give feedback to the developers. Is this the preferred place? Or is there a better way to do that?

Here's the first bug I've run into: I've noticed that when moving the cursor through editable project text the left and right arrows' functions are reversed: tapping the right arrow moves the cursor to the left; tapping the left arrow moves it to the right.

[ UPDATE: Due to changes to the service we use for collecting feedback (Usersnap), versions of Paratext 10 Studio and Platform.Bible (up to at least version 0.4.x) no longer access a live Usersnap form. If you see an error which looks like the image below, it is not a problem with your internet or with the application. It is a result of a permanent change to our Usersnap instance:

The result of this is that it is not possible to give feedback from within the application up to and including version 0.4.x.]

The best way to report a problem or make a suggestion now appears directly in Paratext 10.

Go to the Help menu and Choose Submit an idea or Report a bug to send us your feedback.

One method, go to https://studio.paratext.org/, click the yellow "Feedback" button at lower right and write in your report. Submitting feedback within the program is on their  list of things to add, but it is not in beta 1.

We haven't built an in-app feedback mechanism yet, so using

  • "Feedback" on studio.paratext.org will do the trick for now.
  • Or email [email protected]
  • Or report your bug here on support.Bible so other people can see it, know if others are having the same problem, and read about workarounds, and know if it's been resolved.
