We were teaching a Paratext class this past week, and were teaching them how to use PTXprint. The translators in these communities only need very basic printing capability, to print drafts for community checking, so it's great to have the Mini View, so they don't get overwhelmed. However, I wanted to show them how they could print their text double-spaced, so that they could write comments in-between the lines, and from Mini View searched for Line Spacing, and was appalled to find that it is only available in the Full View! So we abandoned that idea, and told them they would just have to make notes in a notebook.

I understand that the Line Spacing is kind of a complex idea, and it would be easy to make a PDF with an inappropriate amount of Line Spacing. But it would be really nice to be able to get double-spaced text in Mini View when printing drafts (which teams have to do all the time for their testing). Even the old Export to PDF from Paratext could do that! Any chance that you could put in a checkbox just in Mini View and Basic View called "Double Spacing", and when it is checked, PTXprint makes the Lines Spacing 2.5 the Base Font Size? I guess you could leave it in the Full View as well, and if it is checked, the Line Spacing parameter would get greyed out (preferably with the 2.5 times value filled into the field before it is deactivated).

Thanks for considering it...

Thanks for this good suggestion Jeff. We've had a chat about how best to do this - especially how not to let settings from one view (Mini) adversely affect another (Basic or Full). We are also trying to work out how to make it all fit on the different Layout pages. We hope to get something working for you soon, but not this week!
