https://paratext.org/download/ lists the following System Requirements for Paratext 9.4:
64-bit Windows Version:
  Windows 11 OR Windows 10 (version 1607 or later, 1903 or later preferred)
Additional Requirement(s):
  Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (included in Windows 10 Version 1903).
  8 GB of RAM

Now I'm thinking of buying a new computer for the local translation team in PNG. Can I assume that 8 GB of soldered, not upgradable memory will be enough for the foreseeable future or should I go for 16 GB RAM? Will 8 GB of RAM with 512 GB SSD also be enough if they ever had Logos?

Thank you very much!

Hola.

Normally the requirements listed are the minimum requirements for the software to work well. Whenever possible it is good to consider a higher specification computer if it is expected to be used for more than 3 or 4 years.

The size of the hard disk will not be a problem for Paratext.

If you are also considering Logos, it is good to consider something larger than 8GB of RAM.

In the following page Logos indicates its “minimum” requirements: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007506971-Logos-Minimum-System-Requirements
But in this other one it shows the recommended requirements: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007554992-Recommended-Hardware-and-Software
At least something in between these two lists of requirements would be suitable.

Saludos,
Pepe.
