My understand was that if you didn't create a frtbak.sty stylesheet, that PT would revert to using the standard usfm.sty + custom.sty sheets that it uses for normal text. I've read the help files, and they don't explicitly state that but do seem to also imply it.

However, when I delete frtbak.sty and restart PT, all the markers in the INT book have turned red.

Am I doing something wrong? Or misunderstanding something?

frtbak.sty is a special copy of the usfm.sty sheet where many of the "\OccursUnder" have been removed. For example, in the usfm.sty \p occurs under c. However, in the frtbak.sty it can occur anywhere. This is why when you remove the frtbak.sty you get red markers in the extra material books. You can handle this by simply adding a \c at the beginning of those books, but it is probably better to use the frtbak.sty

Thank you.

That was officially the stupidest question ever, since _I_ answered the same thing elsewhere.
