Hi
My team has a completed New Testament that exists as a resource in Paratext (p8z format). I'd like to convert it to a .yes or .pdb file so that it can be made available in a bible app (Quick Bible, https://alkitab.app/). Is that possible inside or outside Paratext?
Thanks a lot

The short answer is no. You cannot convert a resource into a project. The resource files (.p8z) are password protected. There are a couple of options:

  1. Try to locate the original project (if someone still has the PT7 files they can be used to create the PT9 project)
  2. There are some (about 244) projects in the DBL that can be downloaded in .usx format (this can be imported into a project). You can see which projects are availlable for this type of download at: https://app.thedigitalbiblelibrary.org/entries/open_access_entries?type=text#
  3. Someone else may have another solution.

We recently got this question as a support issue and tracked this down to the user settings that Paratext backs up about once ... is over 10M. This change will be in Paratext 9.4.
