I'm not sure whether this is a question or a public service announcement.

Today one of the users in our area discovered something strange. When running Basic Checks, hundreds of errors were appearing with the message: Invalid or Unknown Character combination. These were all for capitalized digraphs such as Ng or Mb. These are not listed in the

The strange thing is that I could not see these errors on version 9.4.101.1. But I upgraded to version 9.4.101.4 (the version they were using) and suddenly I could see all of these same errors. These digraphs are not capitalized in the Language settings because the guide says not to capitalize digraphs there.

The resolution was something sensible... to approve the digraphs in the Character Inventory / Show Combinations window. It seems that somehow these combinations which were previously Valid were now marked Unknown. I confirmed that these same errors are now being flagged in multiple projects in our area. I'm unsure precisely what changed, but I wanted to post this here in case other people start seeing this issue appear.

Yes, there is a change to the way multi-graphs are handled in the character inventory. This was done to allow for the situation where a team uses a multigraph, but not the individual letters. Now you still enter the multi-graph in the language settings, but you must approve all combinations of that multi-graph in the character inventory.
