Replacement for ~ for word-medial space

In order for the spell check to work, I had to replace word-medial spaces with a ~. I added the ~ to the ... issues, especially when it is time to typeset. Any suggestions? David

Punctuation used as tone marks

Both P8 and P9 allow Word-medial punctuation, but they work differently. I have a project where we sometimes use ... punctuation character in P9 although it was allowed in P8.

I am checking a translation that uses a single quotation mark (U2019, ') word-medially. This character is listed ... using a different character for the word-medial quotation mark?
