If I go: Uber menu > Paratext settings, and try to select “Scroll Scripture with any compatible applications,” it doesn’t select… Is this not available in Linux?
I’m using the Linux version 9.0.100.10181-Linux package [paratext-9.0, 0.40].

Huh… OK. I guess I’ll wait for it to become available (and try to come up with a workaround in the interim). Thanks for the reply,

Paul

It is very unlikely to ever become available as the current system relies on the Windows registry to do the synchronization between applications.

Could you tell us which application(s) you are attempting to scroll with Paratext? Maybe (I stress the ‘maybe’), we could talk with the developers of those applications to come up with a different system that works on Linux.

Communication with an application under Wine will never work as the other application thinks it’s under Windows so it will not use the correct communication mechanism. You could try to run the Windows version of Paratext under Wine at the same time and see if that works, but I don’t know if it even runs under Wine.
