In Mato, a time phrase can occur in two slightly different ways. The word "time" comes first. With a proper noun, it's simply the noun. But any other noun must have an associative suffix on it. In the target language Uma, this phrase always has the noun first with a possessive suffix on the word for time na. Mato:

I had a rule working for the proper noun in which I specified the pattern as c_ni, c_nprop. I wanted to capture the other type of time phrase, so I just made the pattern c_ni, c_n. But while it works for the second type (ni), it doesn't fire for the proper noun (nprop) time phrase. What's wrong?

I downloaded your workproject.
With FLExTrans 3.16.1, I see this, so the Time Phrase rule is firing:

Are you running an older version?

Here are the release notes for 3.16, so you can evaluate what else has changed since whichever version you are running.

Oh, then I checked the rules file and it has c_ni, c_nprop, sorry, I'll look again.

Having set the rule to c_ni, c_n.

Because the source has 'only' nprop, and no further tags after nprop:

then you need to have this extra tags line in the categories:

The nprop.* means that there will be one or more tags after the nprop, and in your data there are no further tags, hence the need for the category / tags without the .*

Thank you. Adding the nprop category tags line fixed it.
