How do I use PTXPRINT on already translated new testament?

Hi! I have no idea how the app works and it seems very complicated to me. I have already the whole new testament translated on my own pdf and I want to make it to a physical book so I found your app to make the layout process easily, quickly and also makes it look great. I try to import my text on different files such as the pdf, .txt but they don't import the text to PTXPRINT so I could make the layout process and make a completely new pdf so I can make the book. I press "import scripture" in the "basic" page but it just doesn't work. The tutorials didn't help at all with this specific thing and I just want to get started and get my book ready. What file types do I have to use so that the scripture import works.
I'm new to this and I hope someone more experienced could help me to get started with the basics. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your question. Yes, the (newly labelled) "Import Scripture" button on the "Basic" is misleading. That button can indeed import scripture, BUT only if it is in one of the prescribed formats: USFM or USX. In other words, there is a globally-accepted standard for scripture markup, and PTXprint is aware of that standard. Nothing else can be imported. The primary purpose of PTXprint is to help Paratext users create PDFs of their scripture texts.

Given that PTXprint takes (plain) text with appropriate markup and turns it into a PDF, I don't think this program is going to help you, as you already have a PDF. (But how did you create your PDF in the first place? What is the SOURCE of the PDF?) If you were able to convert your source (let's say a Word Doc) into marked-up USFM and saved as plain text files, again with appropriate filenames etc. then PTXprint would be able to use the scripture in that format for producing a PDF.

I made few changes to the new testament since all modern finnish bibles don't use textus receptus so I have added around 200 missing words and I just want to make it to a physical book which I can make on other website. I can just copy and paste the entire text where ever I have to make this work.

In that case, it doesn't sound like this is the right tool for your workflow.
