We have a Quotes within Quotes issue which we don’t know how to fix and we need help.
The steps are

  2. Run the Quotation Check from Basic Checks

  3. Now we got the following error as shown below:

Please help.

The issue here is that you have three >>> in a row and Paratext is unable to determine what the order is. If you put a space after the first one so that you have > >> then Paratext will be able to identify the quotation marks correctly.

Thank you and how about this one?

Hi TSNgaihte,
There’s a setting to control which markers need Continuers, in the
Quotation Rules setup screen. In Paratext 9 it’s under the Project
Settings menu. Edit this line. If you see 'q2 ’ in the marker list
either take it out to make the error go away or do something like
this. 'b/q2 ’ here means that \q2 does not require a quote continuer
unless it follows a \b. You might also need to add 'm ’ to your list
to take care of the error in 20:18.

TSNgaihte,

In your rules you have that continuers should occur in the following places:
p p/q1 b/q1. This means that you should have a continuer every time there is a new \p or if there is a \q1 following a \p or a \b.

In this text you have a quote that starts in the \p. Then you have a second level quote that begins in the \q1. Since your rules says you need a continuer for a \q1 that follows a \p the error message tells you that a continuer is missing in verse 17.

You should have:
\q1 << <Inn kasak…
Notice that I’ve put a space after the << so that it is clear that this is the continuer.

As KimB notes, you must decide if this is in fact the rule you want to use. If you aren’t normally using the continuer in this case then you might need to change your rule.
