Due to problems with machines getting viruses through .zip file attachments, SIL email administration has changed their policy to remove all archive attachments. This new approach will remove archive files even if the extension has been changed, so the previous change we did of renaming .zip files to .zop files no longer works.

Rather than sending the .zop file, they recommend that you upload the file to Google Drive and send a link to the file. The link will need to give all people who receive it view access to the file.

Another option is to rename the .zop file to be a .zip file and extract the log.txt file so you can send it by itself.

We’ll see if we can come up with a better way to work around the problem.

Note that this change does not interfere with problem reports being sent directly to the server by Paratext - it only affects emailing in reports that were saved to the desk top because internet access is disabled or there was some other problem sending the report to the server.
