Seems there might be some residue trouble left from that bug. Or maybe this is a new one? I mainly made the connection because of my hunch that this might be “capital”-related.

We are now in January 2019, machine PT8 version [Phone Removed]and some renderings do not get the correct confirmation in the “Found” column. The key terms get found and get highlit in colour and the mouse-over over the rendering box also confirms the match, but still the Found-column will show something like 0/1, see screen-shot:

(This project has recently been converted from “default” to “match stem based”. But in this example there is no “magic”; there is an exact direct match.)

I did not take exact notes so far, but it seems to me that in several such cases, there were “capitals” involved, either caused by sentence-initial-position or by certain proper names.

Update 01: This seems to be a “soft bug”, because the behaviour is not totally rigid. There are circumstances (not fully researched yet) that will make the key-terms-tool recognize the rendering. I believe opening the rendering-box and doing dummy-non-edit is helpful, as is the changing of the window-size of the key-terms-tool. Will report more if I find out more.

If it’s finding a match in the bottom pane, then it’s a new problem. The previous problem would have caused it to never match anywhere.

It sounds like the count column is just not getting refreshed when needed. Does it do this even after restarting Paratext? Did the words affected recently have their morphologies changed in the Wordlist/Interlinear (i.e. the morphology was changed in the Wordlist while the Biblical Terms tool is open and the counts are now wrong)?

Thank you. Our telecom provider cut us off the internet for several days. I will look into those good questions and report back as soon as I can.

So we got a mild new problem. I do get hits (colored highlighting) in the bottom pane.

And normally, when I change the morphology in the wordlist and toggle back to the key-terms-window I see an immediate response: the counter goes up when I did it right and the tick appears when all occurrences are covered.

I believe you have a good guess on that it might only be a stuck counter. Since those problem-bears are rare, and since re-starting Paratext does not sound like an attractive workaround, it might be a few days until I find another example. Then I will experiment if it is indeed “just” a counter problem. And hopefully I can report a quicker and reliable way to update the counter, short of restarting the entire tool.

Thanks for your interest. Please make this a new separate thread if you know how to. I will find it.
