I’m trying to copy consultant notes from a word document and paste them into an inserted note int the text. All I’m getting is blanks but it moves the cursor down several spaces in the note. Is there a way to take consultant notes off a word doc and insert them into a note?

I’m trying this out and I don’t see a problem. Just a mild annoyance if I select a whole paragraph in Word, then paste that in a note I get two blank lines before my text starts. But I can remove those.

I have Word 2013. What version of Word are you pasting from?

Does it work if you paste first into Notepad, then select & copy from there and paste into the Paratext note?

I’m using Word 2016 and it seems to be pasting only part of the text I copy from the word doc. which is an improvement over yesterday when I was getting nothing.
However when I copy and paste to notepad and then copy from notepad and paste to paratext it gets it all in there without the extra empty lines in front as well.

sewhite,
Did you get my response? I said it was now putting part of the text I
copied in with the same blank lines you experienced. And that when I
pasted the word stuff into Notepad and copied from Notepad and pasted into
paratext everything showed up fine.

When you cut and paste from Word to Notes, Word styles are transferred into the Notes.

You may want to experiment with saving your Word doc as simplified HTML: Web Page (filtered).
