When you look up “Notes” in the PT Help, the topic is entitled Project Notes. But the other day, I realised that PT will let you make Notes on a Resource, too. Is this a bug or a feature?

If the latter, how does it work? I guess the Notes could only be for personal use, since you can’t share files connected to a resource (in fact, I don’t think there’s even the concept of a file being connected to a resource).

If you want to make general exegetical notes about the original text that you can then refer to every time you do a consultant check of that same book, consider creating a “Consultant Notes Project”. The feature is available in the current released version 7.5 and has been enhanced for Paratext 8.

The term “Project Note” it to differentiate it from footnotes and other type of notes. To Paratext, resources are also considered to be “projects”. The ability to add notes to a resource project might be considered a feature, but, either way, in Paratext 8.0, it’s likely this will no longer be possible.
