Changing project names

Can project names be changed after they've been created?

• short name
• long name

The short name can not be changed. The long name can be changed.

While you cannot change the short name of a project directly, it is possible to use the Project Menu > Advanced > Convert Project tool in Paratext 9 (or 8) to convert the project to a new short name. This keeps all of the history and settings. The project would need to be shared again.
