This is the error message I am receiving. I have attempted to register the SIL.Windows.Forms.Keyboarding.dll manually but I still receive an error that the DLLregisterserver is not implemented in this dll.
Not sure if I am trying to register the wrong one or not.
I've also tried changing the default keyboard language but it has not helped so far.

The error seems to be something that should be a Windows standard class, so it may be that Windows needs repair here.

But first, one thing you could try that might help: reset Paratext. Hold shift when you start Paratext and click "Yes" to reset. This has cleared up odd Paratext behavior before.

(More on the reset function here:

If the reset does not work, you could try some Windows repair steps, for example what this page recommends:

https://www.computerworld.com/article/1674590/repair-windows-10-and-11-step-by-step-guide.html

3 possible steps, in increasing difficulty, if none of those help the final step is reinstalling Windows.

Thank you, I am trying to run Paratext on a Mac using Crossover. I probably should have mentioned that to begin with. I have been able to install Paratext after installing Visual C++ 2019 and NET Framework 4.8 into the bottle. I also had to manually update the registry to provide the correct ReleaseID.
Since I am not running a virtual Windows, many of the typical classes are not registered. I am hoping I can manually do this, or perhaps redirect these calls to the Mac equivalents.
If you succeed in getting Paratext to run with Crossover, you will be the first. But perhaps you have discovered that it does not work.
I tried it some years ago and it failed. Most Mac users set up a virtual Windows with Parallels. You can save the cost of Parallels by using either VMWare Fusion (free license for non-commercial use)  or VirtualBox to create a virtual Windows machine. Up to this point our experience is that you need a real virtual machine, where Windows is installed from a Microsoft setup disk, for Paratext to run.
