I was playing around with ornaments and there was a ptxprint-premods.tex that showed up at some point on the Advanced page, one of the files that I can check the box for (to apply) and then click the Edit button to edit the file over on the View+Edit page.

But the checkbox and Edit button have disappeared for the changes.txt file... and I can't seem to get them back! I can still find the changes.txt file in the configuration folder, and can edit it manually from there, and the changes still seem to be applied when I print, but I can't edit the file in PTXprint anymore. Sadness sets in...

HI Jeff, are you saying that this highlighted option has disappeared completely?

If so, I'm as puzzled as you are! I thought it might be related to the FR interface, but that seems to be working fine as well:

Or is the issue more about the changes.txt file not appearing on the toolbar here?

Please clarify, and I'll see what we can do to fix it; but for the moment I'm still guessing what might have gone wrong. (Is anything else missing in the UI?) Have you tried the obvious things like re-starting PTXprint?

OK, chalk this up to a brain spasm, or maybe the fact that the temperatures here in Chad are about 45-50C... That option is still there, and I can open Changes.txt as always...

But to be fair... Look at the last 4 checkboxes in the screenshot above. The file that is to be edited is in parentheses at the end of the checkbox text. In the one with Changes.txt, that filename is NOT in the parentheses, but PrintDraftChanges.txt is! I knew that I didn't want to change PrintDraftChanges.txt, but rather the changes.txt, so I was looking for that filename in parentheses! Maybe the text of that checkbox should be changed to:
"Apply changes (changes.txt and PrintDraftChanges.txt)"
Yes, point taken. We were obviously trying to keep it short to make it fit on one line (at least in English UI). Given that PrintDraftChanges.txt is used much less (and probably no longer needs to be in focus), do you think we should now remove reference to "PrintDraftChanges.txt" altogether (just mentioning it in the Tooltip)?
That would be my vote - just focus on Changes.txt
